One Month To Live It – Starlite Festival Marbella
Guest writer, Irene León Maestre shares her enthusiasm for what is arguably the highlight of Marbella’s summer – the Starlite festival.
Summer in Marbella
For years, Marbella has been one of the top summer destinations, not just in Spain, but throughout Europe. It’s an ideal place to spend a memorable summer with the best of Andalusian hospitality and some of the must glamorous people. The Starlite Festival on 23rd July – 23rd August 2014, makes it even more special.
Starlite
This festival is held in a magnificent outdoors spot where you’ll live it up under the stars, surrounded by nature! It is one of the events supported by “Marca España” to project a good image of Spain internationally.
The festival only lasts one month, which is a shame because its one of the best festivals that Marbella has to offer! Every night at Starlite is a night to remember.
During the month – this year it’s on 9th August – famous Malagueño, Antonio Banderas, hosts the Starlite Gala. This event supports a charity Antonio Banderas started in 2010. 100% of the funds raised during this event go to improving education and supporting other needs of children and families in Malaga province. Concerts
There will be 19 concerts in this month with some of the best artists around like: Ricky Martin, Dani Martin, Julio Iglesias and Alejandro Sanz…
You can get regular tickets to attend this event; however, if you want to make it even more exclusive and memorable you can buy tickets for the VIP boxes, where you will be assured a great view, and the personal touch!
Starlite Disco
Get your dancing shoes on, and get ready to dance every night for a month under the stars! The Starlite disco starts in the late afternoon as an area to have fun and relax, but after midnight it is a real party!
Gastro
At Starlite there is always an opportunity to enjoy the delicious foods produced by Marbella chefs. There are different corners in which to eat a variety of foods from many places around. Last year, La Meridiana, an exquisite restaurant in Marbella, joined Starlite for delicious dining – lets see what Starlite has waiting for 2014!
Film , Fashion & Art
Once a week you get the change to attend Starlite for on open air film on the largest screen in Spain. Some of the movies that were played last year were: “World War Z” and “Love with an Accent.”
Be the first to see some of the best designs by young professionals from Marbella creating the perfect summer look with accessories and beach wear.
Come and enjoy an open-air gallery in Starlite Marbella. Some of the artists taking part of this gallery last year were: Jordi Molla, Hubertus Von Hohenlohe, and Bernardo Doral. After its success last year, let’s see what artists will join this summer!
Starlite Battles
For the first time, this summer, Starlite will be hosting and organizing what they call the “Starlite Battles”. If you want to promote your band joining the contest is a great opportunity! The winner of these battles will get to be the support band for Alejandro Sanz this summer.
